A diversion to Laos in the winter of 2004 took James to the World Heritage city of Luang Prabang. While visiting the many jewel-like temples, James considered shaving his head and taking the vows of monkhood but reconsidered when he was enlightened to the fact that he would have to wear orange for the rest of his life.
