Though modest in scale, the garden spaces of this architecturally bold residence are clearly articulated so as to expand the habitable spaces outwards. The contemporary vocabulary is highlighted with sculptural massed groupings of drought tolerant plants. Rather than relegate the front yard to pure curb appeal, a small courtyard and a children’s play area were defined, so as to further animate the neighborhood public sphere.
